XINGU FRUIT PARTICIPATES IN THE 3RD AÇAÍ FESTIVAL OF CASTANHAL/PA

Castanhal is a world leader in the processing and export of açaí and is home to the largest concentration of industries in this market. Xingu Fruit, established in the city since 2017, contributes to the city's economy, mainly by generating jobs.

According to studies by FAPESPA (FOUNDATION FOR THE AMAZON TO SUPPORT STUDIES AND RESEARCH), Pará maintains the leadership in the ranking of states that produce açaí, with a significant 90.4% of national production.

The açaí, with its spherical shape and almost blackish violet color, emerges from the clusters of palm trees popularly known as açaí trees. There are two species that embrace the title of açaí tree: Euterpe oleracea and Euterpe precatória, shoots of nature that bring with them the essence of the Amazon region. Originating from floodplain, igapó and dry land soils close to humid areas, the açaí is the nutritious jewel of this verdant kingdom.

Xingu Fruit is present in the açaí chain and generating great achievements for the state and the world. With suppliers committed to delivering the best açaí, its production comes from the municipalities of Igarapé-miri, Abaetetuba, Cametá and Ponta de Pedras, where the açaí originates from the floodplain forest.

Xingu Fruit's participation in the 3rd Açaí Festival aims to increase its visibility in the municipality and tell its story, in addition to raising awareness among the population about the quality and production processes of the products that are exported to other states in Brazil and to countries such as the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and the United States.
